What is cocodot?+

Why can't local bank cards subscribe to overseas AI?+
Overseas platforms generally reject locally issued cards. With a US-BIN virtual card you can complete ChatGPT Plus / Claude Pro / Cursor subscriptions and API payments normally.
How much does a card cost, and how much should I top up first?+
Card issuance $9.9, 3% to load the card, $1 monthly while active; spending: $0.60 settlement fee on purchases under $20; a corresponding fee applies when the issuer charges one. For a $20 ChatGPT Plus subscription, card plus first month comes to about $31 — top up $35 once and you are set.
Which merchants does the card work with?+
Verified so far: ChatGPT / Claude subscriptions, the OpenAI API, Google and Meta ads, X paid features. Game top-up cards and some reseller-type merchants are not supported.
My payment was declined — what now?+
Check in order: ① card balance (card and wallet are separate — load the card first); ② the billing address is complete and the same one you have been using with that merchant; ③ the merchant is supported. If what you need is the model itself, your wallet balance can call the API directly, no card required.
What billing address should I use?+
The card is not tied to a personal address, and there is no address on the card page to copy. Use an address that is genuinely yours, with every field complete, and keep the same one for the same merchant account. Don't use someone else's address or a made-up one. Whether you can subscribe follows each service's own rules on the countries and regions it serves.
How do I connect the API?+
OpenAI-compatible: set base_url to https://cocodot.co/api/ai/v1 and keep the rest of your code; use official model names (claude-sonnet-5, gpt-5.5, …). Works with Claude Code, Cursor and SillyTavern. Verify your email for $0.5 free credit, valid 7 days.
How much cheaper than official, and could a smaller model be swapped in?+

I've never signed up for an overseas account — can I still use this?+
Yes. The guides cover registering a Gmail, subscribing to ChatGPT / Claude and filling in the billing address step by step; beginners can follow along.
Where does my top-up go? Do I need a card first?+
Top-ups go into your 'USD wallet balance' — no card needed first. The balance can be used to open a card, load a card, or call the API. Opening a card is a later action funded by your balance.
Will the platform lock up the money I add?+
No. Balances topped up with USDT or CNY can be loaded 100% into your own card anytime for online subscriptions and ad platforms; card-payment top-ups reach your wallet instantly and can be used for API calls and opening cards right away, and can be loaded onto a card 7 business days after payment. Accounts with a card-payment top-up in the last 30 days can add up to $300 per card top-up (this applies whatever the top-up method). Card funds are held by a licensed issuer and the platform never touches your spending funds. The balance cannot be withdrawn to a bank card (unused balance from a card payment can be refunded to the original card on request; payment fees are non-refundable); card balance can be moved back to the wallet anytime.
