Subscribe to Replit Core from Anywhere (Online IDE + AI, 2026)
Replit Core checkout runs on Stripe and declines many locally issued cards. Here is the working payment path — a prepaid US-BIN virtual card — plus what Core actually gives you.
1. What Core gives you
Online IDE with instant deploys plus Replit AI (Agent / Assistant). Core adds compute, private projects and larger AI quotas over the free tier — worth it once you code with AI heavily or ship real projects.
2. Before you pay
Make sure you can reach replit.com reliably. The free tier is fine for learning; upgrade when you hit its limits.
3. Subscribe
Log in → upgrade to Core (monthly or annual — annual is cheaper) → you land on the Stripe payment page.
4. Payment
Bind a prepaid US-BIN virtual card (cocodot works: top up, open a US Visa, copy card number + billing address). US-BIN cards clear Stripe checkouts at a much higher rate than locally issued cards.
5. If it fails
Check the card balance covers the charge, fill the billing address completely (use the address from your card page), then remove and re-add the card or try another one.
Replit payment failing: symptom → root cause → fix
| Symptom | Root cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Payment declined at checkout | Locally issued card blocked by Stripe risk control | Bind a prepaid US-BIN virtual card (top up, then open the card) |
| Card has funds but charge still fails | Balance < subscription price (incl. tax) | Top the card up first; keep balance ≥ the monthly fee, then retry |
| "Address invalid / can't verify" | Billing address doesn't match the card's registration | Copy the US billing address from the card details, character for character |
| Repeated failures, page stuck | Same card declined too often, now in a cooldown | Remove and re-add, or switch cards, and retry off-peak |
| Paid, but AI quota runs out | Core plan credits used up | Refresh per cycle or top up; annual is cheaper for heavy use |
