Can SiliconFlow Call Claude / GPT / Gemini? Chinese Model Platforms vs cocodot (2026)

SiliconFlow is a popular Chinese LLM API platform for open models, but Claude, GPT and Gemini are usually not in its catalog. Where the gap is and the fix.

SiliconFlow is a good platform with one gap

SiliconFlow is a widely used LLM API platform in China focused on domestic and open models (DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, Kimi and others): quick onboarding, competitive pricing, frequent free credits. This piece does not tell you to drop it. But if you found this page, you probably hit one problem: you tried to call Claude, GPT or Gemini there and could not. That is not a misconfiguration.

Why Chinese platforms usually do not offer Claude / GPT / Gemini

It is licensing and compliance, not technology. Official API authorization for Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT) and Google (Gemini) carries regional and compliance restrictions. Chinese platform catalogs center on domestic and open models; overseas closed-source flagships are typically absent. So you can call first-tier Chinese models there, but not Claude Opus / Fable, the GPT-5 family or Gemini — for those you need a channel built for overseas models.

You do not have to pick one: combining is easiest

cocodot is not a replacement for SiliconFlow; it fills the overseas gap. Keep open models on SiliconFlow (already configured, free credits, low prices — no reason to move) and route Claude / GPT / Gemini through cocodot. Both are OpenAI-compatible, so switch base_url by model in code. Many teams in China run exactly this mix: domestic tasks on the domestic platform, overseas closed-source tasks on cocodot.

What cocodot adds

① Direct access to overseas closed-source models: Claude (including the latest Fable 5), GPT, Gemini, with routes built for stable access from China. ② Alipay top-up in CNY, metered billing, mainstream models below list and capped at list — see cocodot.co/pricing for current fees. ③ OpenAI-compatible, plus an Anthropic-compatible endpoint (Claude Code direct, beta). Operated by an overseas-registered company, relaying via licensed cloud vendors; details at cocodot.co/trust.

Worried about degraded models? Verify — including us

People arriving from Chinese platforms often ask whether the overseas model is full-strength or silently downgraded. So we open-sourced a checker with a hosted version at probe.cocodot.co: enter any relay's base_url and key and it reports whether the model is the real thing — including when pointed at cocodot. Signing up and verifying your email gives a $0.5 trial credit; run a real Claude call before topping up.

Three steps to connect (alongside SiliconFlow)

① Sign up at cocodot.co, verify email for the $0.5 trial credit, small Alipay top-up; ② create an API key in the console; ③ point overseas-model calls at https://cocodot.co/api/ai/v1 (Claude=mco-6, GPT=mog-6, Gemini=mgg-7, Fable 5=mcf-1) while open models keep going to SiliconFlow. Keep the domestic free credits and ecosystem; add the overseas closed-source capability via cocodot.
